It’s 10a.m. Do You Know Where Your Keywords Are?

Any Internet Marketer worth his computer knows that keywords are the life blood of their income. Keywords are what Internet searchers type into search engines. It’s these words that our site’s need to be optimized for if we hope to earn extra money online. A site that is not keyword optimized is a site that’s not making money.

A lot of marketers get lazy and do not check up on their keywords. A popular myth is that once a keyword is popular, it will remain popular forever. That’s one reason you should take the time to stop and check on your keywords.

Our time as marketers is limited. It would be a shame to find out that you’ve been optimizing your website for keywords that are no longer popular and fail to make money. Let’s say you had a website about gas guzzling SUV’s. Although once popular, nowadays the attention has turned to compact, fuel efficient cars. Fewer people are searching for gas hogging vehicles these days.

New keywords are always showing up for popular search terms. This is just another reason you should remain vigilent in checking your keywords on a routine basis because this allows them to make extra money online. For example, before MySpace came about, do you think anyone was optimizing their sites for MySpace Layouts? By checking your keywords every month or so and getting rod of the ones not making you money and adding new ones that are hot, you’ll go a long ways in making money in this business.

Also, some niches just go away while other niches change. Wise niche marketers will be diligent in getting rid of these non profitable keywords and optimize their pages for new, more valuable keywords. You’ll make more money by continuing to add new, more valuable keywords to your list rather than keep those old dead ones around.

By following these keyword tips, you can be assured that your keywords are fresh and up to date and will bring in traffic if you optimize your site for them. Let your competition optimize their site for keywords that no longer bring in visitors!
