Somebody just posted their blog post to a LinkedIn Group I belong too. They wanted to know what I was getting out of Twitter.  I posted a reply as follows:

*I’ve used Twitter to build goodwill

*I’ve found some excellent resources on Twitter

*I’ve made friends

*I’ve used it to drive traffic to my blogs

*I’ve used my PageRank 6 Twitter profile (my highest PageRank page) to drag my http://legalbearsblog.com up to a PageRank of 3 in part by linking to it from my Twitter profile

*I used automated direct messages to fill up my brothers new resort

*I used a tweet to get a free desert in a restaurant

*Twitter has turned me into somewhat of a celebrity locally & I was asked to speak on using Twitter in marketing

*The fact that I have almost 40,000 followers on Twitter gives me instant credibility.

In short, I’m excited about what Twitter has been doing for me.

In this 4 minute video a woman explains other benefits of Twitter. This woman’s profile has a PageRank of 7! So, just a little better than mine. She believes as I do, that there are benefits to the links you put out on Twitter.

This video describes how PF Chang’s turned a tweet about their restaurants into a huge PR event. This describes somebody who got a meal AND a desert; so, they one upped me.
